About

My interest in gardening started about seven years ago when my husband and I bought our first home in a wooded area in Southeastern Massachusetts. Judging by the few sad perennials and overgrown shrubs inherited from the previous owners, my initial conclusion was that nothing but moss and mushrooms could grow in my shaded yard. With some research, however, my view of shade gradually changed and I started seeing it as an opportunity rather than a disadvantage. I soon embarked on a quest to find the next beautiful plant that would thrive in my yard – a quest that soon turned into obsession.

The goal of this blog is to share the beauty and joy of my gardening experience with my readers. It is intended to be a source not so much of expert gardening advice but rather of ideas and inspiration. Whether you are an experienced gardener, a newbie or simply someone who wants to learn about plants, I hope you find something of interest. For an interactive experience, please share your comments and thoughts under my posts.

So, are you ready, my friends? Buckle up and let’s go!
